Read the original rights advisory
Each photograph page preserves the rights advisory supplied by the Library of Congress. We do not replace individual advisories with a blanket “Public Domain” label. When an advisory is unavailable in our imported record, the page directs you to the original record.
The Library’s collection rights statement explains the publication status of the John Margolies photographs and notes that artwork visible within photographs may have separate rights. Consult that statement and the relevant item record when considering reuse.
